Dry Ice Blasting

Equipment buildup is a slow bleed on your operation. Grease, bitumen, corrosion, and contaminants don't just look bad; they reduce efficiency and speed up wear.

Traditional cleaning methods make it worse. Pressure washing leaves moisture in places it shouldn't be. Chemical cleaning creates hazardous waste and often needs additional prep before recoating. Hand scrubbing is slow and rarely gets into the tight spots where buildup does the most damage.

Dry ice blasting done by Diamond Valley Pressure Services is a faster, cleaner way to get your equipment back in service.

How Our Dry Ice Blasting Works

Dry ice blasting uses compressed air to propel solid CO₂ pellets at high speed. When those pellets hit a contaminated surface, three things happen at once:

The impact force breaks the contaminant's bond with the surface

The extreme cold (-78.5°C) causes it to crack and separate

The pellets sublimate, turning directly from solid to gas, lifting debris cleanly away

Why Dry Ice Blasting Works for Oil & Gas

Non-Abrasive Cleaning

CO₂ pellets are aggressive on contaminants, not on equipment. Coatings, seals, precision surfaces, and electrical components stay intact. You get a thorough clean without introducing new wear.

Little to No Disassembly Required

Most equipment can be cleaned in place. That means your crew stays focused on operations, not teardown and reassembly.

Ready to Repaint or Recoat Right Away

Because the process is completely dry, surfaces are ready for recoating immediately after cleaning. There’s no dry time and no additional prep work.

No Secondary Waste

The dry ice sublimates on impact. The only material left for disposal is the contamination you removed. You don’t have to worry about cleaning up any water or chemicals.

Environmentally Responsible

Dry ice blasting doesn’t use solvents or hazardous chemicals. The CO₂ used is reclaimed from existing industrial emissions, so it doesn't add to your carbon footprint.

Built for the Field

Whether you need fin-fan coolers, structural steel, piping, valves, cable trays, or electrical components cleaned, dry ice blasting works on the equipment you deal with every day in oil & gas production.
