Our Story

Diamond Valley Pressure Services was founded in 1985 by Brian "Buzz" Brownlee, and he continues to be an integral part of the team. We are a company built on reliable pressure pumping and oilfield fluid services. Incorporated in 1986, we grew steadily through a commitment to quality service, operator retention, and a reputation that spread by word of mouth across the Western Canadian oilfield.

In 1987, Rod Blades founded Pressure Services Inc. (PSI), building a parallel track record in pressure pumping and oilfield fluid services from its Buck Lake operations.

In 2023, Rick Prouse took on company leadership and launched a focused growth strategy. What followed was a series of strategic acquisitions that brought together some of the most experienced people and best-maintained equipment in the region. 

Diamond Valley Pressure Services is now a company that combines the scale and fleet diversity of a large regional provider with the responsiveness and accountability of a locally operated business. The experience those companies and their people bring adds up to more than 135 years of combined industry knowledge.

Diamond Valley has built our reputation in part through operator retention. Many of our field employees have been with the company for more than a decade. When you call Diamond Valley, the operator who shows up has likely been on hundreds of jobs like yours.

New operators at Diamond Valley work alongside experienced crew before running independently. They are trained on the specific equipment they will operate and the specific chemicals they will handle.
